My Accident-Prone Hubby

Friday, August 26th, Erick smashed his finger at work while fixing a wheel on a semi-truck. He did a lot of damage to the tip of his finger. He has several cuts (where it literally exploded from the pressure) on both the top and bottom of his finger. He also shattered the end into several pieces and has a few fractures going down his finger as well. It also took his fingernail almost completely off. We spent several hours in the hospital waiting for x-rays and stitches. I think we counted 14 stitches in total but it is still pretty messy and hard to tell the exact number. He also has a brace to wear for about 6 weeks until the bones heal. The first two days were very rough with lots of bleeding (we think from the nail-bed) and lots of pain. It is doing better now and should start healing very quickly. Here are some pictures of when I arrived at the hospital.
